SENIOR PLANNER – BOKSBURG

The successful applicant will be responsible to:

  1. Work closely with Owners team, Designers / Engineers and Project Managers to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules of Design/Build construction projects
  2. Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status, and perform measurement baseline.
  3. Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration.
  4. Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
  5. Frequent on-site visits to review construction progress will be required.
  6. Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance.
  7. Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.
  8. Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.
  9. Maintain accurate records/paperwork.
  10. Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.
  11. Scheduling:
  • Produce and update programmes for active sites.
  • Produce S-curves.
  • Update Histogram.
  1. Claims and variation orders:
  • Assist with claims.
  • Calculate impact of extension of time.
  • Update Histogram.
  1. Tendering:
  • Produce tender programmes.
  • Produce histogram.
  • Do resource scheduling.

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  1. Subject matter expertise using MS Project to manage an integrated master schedule and the supporting detailed schedules.
  2. Using of Primavera P6 to manage an integrated master schedule and the supporting detailed schedules will be advantageous.
  3. Proficient in MS Office.
  4. Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
  5. Creative and innovative with assignments.
  6. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities.
  7. Able to embrace and participate in change initiatives.
  8. Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills.
  9. Excellent communication skills.

  11. A minimum of 5-7 years ECISMPP construction project experience in planning and scheduling working on various projects.
  12. Ability to manage and oversee the entire Project Team from start to finish.
